World Sleep Day is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the importance of getting quality sleep and the impact of lack of sleep on our overall health and well-being. This year’s World Sleep Day was on March 17, 2023. The theme for this year’s World Sleep Day was “Sleep is Essential for Health” 12.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful meditation practice, enabling practitioners to access the deeply restorative aspects of sleep while remaining conscious. Conducted in savasana, students are guided through an introspective meditation, leading the practitioner to find natural equilibrium between breath and body. Yoga Nidra is a form of yogic sleep that can help improve sleep quality


Here are some steps to practice Yoga Nidra 123456:

  1. Lie down in a comfortable position, such as savasana.
  2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, relaxing your body with each inhale.
  3. Set an intention for your practice.
  4. Bring your awareness to different parts of your body, starting with your right foot and working your way up to the crown of your head.
  5. Visualize each part of your body relaxing and releasing tension.
  6. Focus on your breath and allow your mind to become still.
  7. Stay in this state of deep relaxation for 20-30 minutes
